Jordan (Katie Price)

Katie Price (born Katie Infield, May 22, 1978), is a multimillionaire English glamour model and television personality, magazine columnist and businesswoman commonly known as Jordan. She is renowned for her multiple breast augmentations, and her flamboyant personal life is regularly featured in British tabloids and celebrity-based magazines. Her behaviour and lifestyle are often questioned, and even she describes herself as "famous for being famous".. She is one of Britain's most discussed, written about and photographed celebrities of all time and the biggest pusher of tabloid newspaper sales in the country.

Her decision to start modelling came after a friend suggested she have some professional photographs done. The pictures were sent to a modelling agency in London, and to her surprise, the agency invited her into their studios for a photo shoot and to discuss a contract. Within weeks she began appearing on 'Page 3' of the The Sun newspaper (topless modelling). It was at this time that she assumed the name 'Jordan'.

Although she was already a well-established model, with frequent appearances on Page 3 and in men's lifestyle magazines to her credit, Jordan still had a feeling of insecurity about her breast size, and believed that implants would look better. Friends, photographers with whom she had worked - and even her parents - were against the idea. Nevertheless, the operation went ahead, and her cup size increased from a B to a D. She has stated that she "always felt that I looked flat-chested when I stood next to other girls on the glamour circuit". Her choice to "go under the knife" was a definitive factor in her retirement from Page 3 topless modelling for The Sun, which had recently decided on a "natural beauty" policy, requiring all its models to be "silicone-free".

Jordan appeared in six volumes of Playboy's Book of Lingerie from 1997 to 1999.

Jordan has also graced the covers of FHM, Maxim, Front, Zoo, Sky, Esquire, Loaded and Ice magazines.

During the June 7, 2001 British General Election, Jordan ran as a candidate in Stretford and Urmston under her real name using the slogan: 'For a Bigger and Betta Future'. As part of her election campaign, which was intended to bring a little fun into a dull election, she promised free breast implants, increases on nudist beaches, and a ban on parking tickets. In the end, Jordan won 713 votes which equalled 1.8% of the vote.

Jordan (now preferring to be known to the public as Katie Price while not modelling) began 2004 by appearing on the reality TV series I'm a Celebrity, Get Me out of Here!, alternately falling out with John Lydon and flirting in the jungle with singer Peter Andre. Price appeared on Top Gear's Star in a Reasonably Priced Car on May 23, 2004. She completed the lap in 1:52s. She also made a cameo appearance playing herself in an episode of the television drama series Footballers' Wives and appeared in the programme Jordan gets even for Five.

Under the name Katie Price, she was one of the acts competing for the right to represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2005, to be held in Ukraine. On 5 March 2005, singing a song titled Not Just Anybody, she came in second place in the pre-selection show Making Your Mind Up, behind Javine.

Price claimed in 2005 that she soon would be retiring her Jordan image. In May 2004, she published her autobiography, Being Jordan, to surprisingly positive reviews, and it became a massive best-seller and the 4th best-selling autobiography of all time in th UK. Jordan: A Whole New World, her second autobiography, was released January 2006 and has so far sold nearly 400,000 copies. Her first autobiography has sold 500,000 [citation needed] copies so far, while the second sold 300,000 within just the first 6 weeks of its release.

In December 2005 she released the best selling fitness DVD The Jordan workout featuring 'The Juice Master' Jason Vale.

In November 2006 Katie Price launched The Katie Price lingerie collection in conjunction with Panache available exclusively at Asda stores nationwide. In 2005 the Jordan at Asda jewellery range was launched.

In November 2006 Katie Price appeared on the front cover of British Elle magazine.

Jordan and Andre released a duets album on 27 November 2006 titled A Whole New World with all proceedings going to their chosen charities due to the poor health conditions of Jordan's son Harvey. The album debuted at #20 in the UK album chart. The album went gold in two weeks selling 100,000 copies.

Price continues to write a regular advice column in OK! magazine and has previously contributed to More and The Sun.

A chat show, The Jordan and Peter show has recently been commisioned and will be screened on ITV in 2007 as part of a six figure exclusive deal with the network.

In 2007 Price will release her first childrens book and launch her own signature scent.

Jordan's private life, wild behaviour and outrageous antics, much of it at European nightclubs, have been extensively detailed by the paparazzi. One of her first public relationships was with the pop singer Dane Bowers, of the boy band Another Level. They ended their relationship while she was pregnant by him, leading her to having an abortion. Their turbulent relationship was regularly played out in the press and Jordan would often be quoted making derogatory comments about Bowers, including a less than flattering account of the size of his 'physical attributes'. Their breakup came whilst Bowers was recording a single with ex-Spice Girl Victoria Beckham. It has since been reported that Jordan blames Beckham for the end of the relationship with Bowers. So began a long-standing feud between Jordan and Beckham, which has also been played out in the British press and continues to this day. The feud continued when David Beckham admitted that he had a crush on Jordan, something which Price found charming and Victoria Beckham found disgusting.

Price's relationship with Andre seemed to have resurrected both of their careers. Price's antics in the jungle meant that she was rarely out of the British press at this time. Of particular interest was her revelation that she had embarked on a secret fling with a renowned married footballer behind his wife's back. Although she never revealed the footballer's name it was strongly indicated that the man in question was David Beckham, the husband of her arch-nemesis Victoria. The story sparked a plethora of press speculation and came at a time when David's fidelity had already been called into question by his ex-employee Rebecca Loos. In February 2005 Price announced that she was 5 months pregnant with Peter André's child. Price gave birth by Caesarean section to her second child, a 5lb 13oz boy named Junior Savva Andre, on 13 June 2005. On September 10, 2005, she married André at Highclere Castle, Hampshire. In July 2006, it was announced that she had suffered a miscarriage - she was three and a half months pregnant. Her bust-line has grown, via three implant surgeries, from 32A to 34FF over her career. In November 2006 she and her husband released a CD of duets to raise money for various charities. In the 6 November edition of OK magazine it was revealed that Jordan is expecting her third child. She is due in summer 2007.

Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey (born March 27, 1970) is an American pop and R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress. Carey made her debut in 1990 under the guidance of Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola and became the first recording act to have its first five singles top the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. Following her marriage to Mottola in 1993, a series of hit records established her position as Columbia's highest-selling act. According to Billboard magazine, she was the most successful artist of the 1990s in the United States.

Carey took more control over her image and music following her separation from Mottola in 1997, and she introduced elements of hip hop into her album material. Her popularity was in decline when she left Columbia in 2001, and she was dropped by Virgin Records the following year after a highly publicized physical and emotional breakdown and the poor reception of Glitter, her film and soundtrack project. In 2002 Carey signed with Island/Def Jam, and after an unsuccessful period she returned to the forefront of pop music in 2005.

In 2000 the World Music Awards named Carey the best-selling female artist of all time, and she has recorded the most U.S. number-one singles for a female solo artist (17 number one singles). Carey has also neen named the world's all-time best selling female artist in the 2007 edition of the Guiness World Records book (see Guiness World Records' list of world records) hence breaking the record previously held by Madonna in 2002, and has been proclaimed as the most successful female artist in the history of the Billboard charts by Billboard Magazine. In addition to her commercial accomplishments, she is well-known for her melismatic singing voice, vocal range, power, and use of whistle register. Some critics have said that Carey's efforts to showcase her vocal talents have been at the expense of communicating true emotion through song.

According to a November 2006 Reuters report, Universal Music Group CEO Doug Morris has stated that Carey will release two albums in the next year.[52] Also in 2007, she will receive a "recording star" on the Hollywood Walk of Fame[53] and be inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame.

Nick has never stood up against reports that Jessica cheated, saying that he didn't know whether the rumors were true, and he chose not to ask her about them. This indirectly reinforced the truth behind the rumors, and has tarnished Jessica's once innocent image.

According to British Esquire, Jessica has befriended actress Liv Tyler, and is planning a new joint album pending release in 2007, featuring songs and sound tracks dubbed from the epic movie trilogy Lord of the Rings.
